What if meeting a princess could be about more than waiting in line, saying hello, and trying to get one quick picture?
This September, Prickly Pixels Photography is bringing a truly magical experience to Ahwatukee in Phoenix, Arizona, featuring **Rapunzel and Elsa**.
Each family will have a dedicated 15-minute time slot with the princess — no lines, no waiting behind other families, and no rushing through a quick hello and photo.
Fifteen minutes might sound short until you compare it to a typical character meet-and-greet. Your little princess gets uninterrupted time to actually talk to the princess, interact with her, explore the dresses, share a moment, and simply enjoy being there
And while she experiences the magic, I'll be there photographing it all.
A Princess Experience Without the Line
If you've ever taken your child to a theme park or character event to meet a favorite princess, you know how it usually goes.
You wait.
And wait.
And wait some more.
Then suddenly it's your turn, and everything happens in a matter of seconds.
Your child walks up, says hello, gets a hug, takes a picture, and it's over.
And sometimes that one photograph isn't even the picture you hoped for. Maybe she's looking away. Maybe she's nervous. Maybe she's overwhelmed. Maybe the interaction was simply too quick for her to warm up.
I wanted to create something completely different.
These princess mini sessions give a dedicated 15 min time slot for your family. There is no line of families waiting behind you and no need to hurry your little one through a quick hello.
She gets time to actually experience the princess
She can talk to her.
She can show her the dresses.
She can ask questions.
She can give her a hug.
She can be shy.
She can warm up.
She can laugh.
And you get to be there for all of it.
15 Minutes Dedicated to Your Family
Each session is 15 minutes, with one family booked per time slot
That means when your time begins, your family gets the princess's attention.
This isn't a group meet-and-greet where you're trying to squeeze in alongside several other families. It's an intimate experience designed around your child.
And because there isn't a line waiting for your child to hurry along, those 15 minutes can actually feel like a surprisingly long time when compared with a traditional character photo opportunity.
The goal isn't to get your child into one perfect pose.
The goal is to give her 15 minutes to make a memory.
I'll photograph the experience as it happens, capturing both the beautiful portraits and all of the little moments in between.
Put Down the Phone. I'll Take the Pictures.
This is one of my favorite parts of the entire experience.
As a parent, it's incredibly easy to feel like you need to document everything yourself.
Your daughter finally meets her favorite princess, and suddenly you're trying to hold your phone up, get the right angle, make sure you're recording, and somehow still be present for the moment.
You shouldn't have to choose.
You can simply be there, in the moment, making the memory too
Watch her face light up.
Listen to what she says.
Laugh with her.
Hold her hand.
Let her show you the dresses.
Enjoy the moment with your little girl.
I'll take care of documenting it.
Instead of going home with one rushed photograph from a quick character meet-and-greet, you'll have photographs that capture the entire feeling of the experience — her excitement, her expressions, the interaction with the princess, and the memories you made together.
More Than One Awkward Photo
Some of the best photographs aren't the ones where everyone is looking at the camera.
They're the photographs that happen when your child doesn't know she's being photographed.
The moment she first sees Rapunzel.
The way she looks up when Elsa starts talking to her.
A princess kneeling down to talk to her.
A spontaneous hug.
A huge smile.
A tiny moment of shyness.
Your child's reaction when she discovers all of the beautiful dresses hanging on the laundry line.
Those are the photographs that tell the story.
And because your family has an entire 15-minute time slot rather than a rushed few seconds, there is room for those moments to happen naturally.
