This session was one for the books! I had the honor of photographing a graduating student-athlete from Arizona State University — and let me tell you, she brought both elegance and strength to every single frame.

We shot this session on and around campus, incorporating ASU's iconic backdrops along with personal touches like her cap and gown, a stunning white outfit, and moments that celebrated her identity as both a scholar and athlete. The energy was empowering, grounded, and confident — the perfect way to close one chapter and open the next.

Why Graduation Shoots Matter

Graduation is more than just crossing a stage. It’s a celebration of late nights, early mornings, and every moment in between. For student-athletes, that journey includes so much discipline, heart, and hustle — and I love capturing that layered story.

Whether it’s cap and gown portraits, something fashion-forward, or a mix of the two, your grad session should feel like you.

Planning Your Own ASU Grad Session?

A few tips:

Bring a second outfit: Show both your formal side and your personality.

Celebrate your journey: Jerseys, medals, or anything symbolic of your sport are perfect additions.

Golden hour is magic: That Arizona light never disappoints.

Consider your location: ASU has so many photogenic spots, or we can venture off-campus for something more editorial.
